What does rustic mean?

We are a rustic venue meaning our barns do not have plumbing. We do have an ADA portable potty on site, a mini freezer/fridge combo, an additional 5 cubic ft freezer for your ice cream treats, and a stand alone cooler to hold ice. You will be able to get water from our well if you need to. We do offer our garage fridge if you need extra fridge space. 

Additionally, we offer a novelty popcorn maker with supplies (popcorn, oil, bags), Bluetooth speakers that you can connect to in the barn and in the outdoor area, two sets of cornhole and yard Jenga is available for your use.

What is required to book my event?

To reserve your date, we require an initial payment of $50. This can be completed in person or via email. (We do not hold dates without the initial $50 payment, we work on a first come first serve basis)

What do I need to know about parking?

We have onsite parking  for all your guests. We have 2 concrete poured handicap parking spaces adjoined to the sidewalk for easy wheelchair or walker accessibility. Just give us a heads up and we will mark those off for your guest.​

Are pets allowed at the venue?

We welcome all service dogs and ask you to keep the dogs leashed at all times. We ask you to designate someone to clean up any accidents that may occur. All other pet requests must be approved by the Venue owner. 

​Is the venue handicap accessible?

Yes, we have two concrete parking spaces, flat outdoor grounds and the back entrance of the barn is handicap accessible. We also have an ADA portable potty on site.

Do we have to choose from the venue's preferred vendor list?

No, we have suggested vendors on our website that we work with and know are amazing if you need recommendations, but these are not required. 

What about insurance?

We have liability insurance for Bar Z Rustic LLC. We do require you to purchase a one day Special Event Insurance policy that will cover you as the host for your event. And if you are hosting alcohol. https://www.eventsured.com/partnership/bar-z-rustic/

What sizes are the tables in the barn? 

We have two round 5 ½ft wooden tables that seat up to ten a table. There is also a high-top bar that seats eight and another bar counter that seats three.  Additionally, there are two picnic tables under the covered lean-to of the barn. Outside of the barn there are four picnic tables and two round wooden spool tables with a total of eight chairs. 

What type of equipment is supplied in the bar area?

The inside bar area has a mini fridge/freezer combo, one ice cooler, storage shelves, hand towels, a high top table with three bar stools, and a garbage can.

What do we do with our trash?

We supply a garbage container along with a garbage bag. We do not have a dumpster on site so please limit your trash. 

Do you allow fireworks or fires?

No, we do not. ​No fire, explosives and anything with an ignitor. 

Is there A/C and Heat?

There is no a/c or heat in the barn.  The barn has large doors that can be left open as well as a ceiling fan which makes for good air flow. ​

Is the barn decorated?

The barn is neutral (see pictures) with cream linens for the table cloths. You can decorate as you please, with the exception of open flamed candles and nails/screws/staples in the wood. Please use tape. The wood in the barn is a century old and cannot be replaced. All the wood constructed areas were built with the wood that came from the ceiling of the barn and we want to keep it in good condition.​

What is the payment schedule?

A deposit of $50 along with the Special Event Insurance will allow you to reserve a date. The rest of the payment is due 48 hours before your event. 

Are we allowed to bring in our own food and beverages?

Yes, you can bring in your own food and beverages.​

Is the Venue open year round?

We are seasonal, mid May to late October. Check our calendar for actual start and end dates.

What is not allowed?

For regular rentals, no outside music (wedding receptions need to inquire). You are welcome to use the Bluetooth speakers that are provided in the barn and in the outdoor area. Please keep the music to an appropriate level.  No cooking or open flame in the barn. Ready made food only. No firearms, weapons of any type, glitter, glue, hay/straw bales, birdseed, rice or confetti, paint, or anything that will leave a permanent mark on the property.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel with in 48hrs of your date for regular rentals, you do not get refunded any of the deposit that have been paid to date. Wedding receptions need to inquire.

What is your smoking policy?

No Smoking  is allowed inside any of the buildings or on the grounds. Vape is allowed outside the building in the picnic table area.
